Internal Operating Rules (IOR) of Reefer’s Den
ARTICLE VI - OFFICERS
Section 1. Election of Executive Committee Officers Paragraph 1. The officers of RD© shall be five (5) Executive Committee Officers. Paragraph 2. All ExeCom officers are to be elected by the members of RD© . The results of the election will be announced at the regular annual meeting to be held in March 7 of each year, except as provided in Article V, Section 2, Paragraph 1. Members may vote in person at the February meeting or electronically at the RD© website and/or any official social media account of the group for seven days prior to the date of the March meeting. The opening of the electronic voting period will be announced at the February meeting as well as via email and on the RD© website. Paragraph 3. The ExeCom officers of the RD© shall take office upon March 7 of each year and shall end their term of office March 6th of the following year. Executive Officers will serve one-year term with possibility of re-election on succeeding year. Paragraph 4. All active members of RD© shall have the right to vote from the floor at the yearly elections in February, or electronically at the RD© website and/or any official social media account for seven days prior to the date of the March meeting. Paragraph 5. An ExeCom officer shall be declared elected when at the close of voting he is included in top five (5) majority of the total votes cast. When tie of vote occur on the lowest position, the members shall vote a second time upon the tied candidates to determine who will be included in the 5 slots of ExeCom. Paragraph 6. Any OIC, committee member, and committee chair may be removed, either for or without cause, by a unanimous decision of the Executive Committee whenever, in the judgment of such authority, the best interests of RD© will be served thereby. Paragraph 7. Any ExeCom officer may resign at any time by written notice to the ExeCom. Such resignation shall take effect at the date of receipt of such notice or at any later time specified therein and, unless otherwise specified therein, the acceptance of such resignation shall not be necessary to make it effective. Such resignation should be announced to the group, reasons and circumstances may not be disclosed depending on the decision of the ExeCom. |
